Meadowlark Men's Club Local Rules - April 2011

Meadowlark Golf Course LOCAL RULES Out of Bounds: Perimeter of golf course, inside fence surrounding driving range, inside fence surrounding maintenance yard, and inside fence surrounding parking lot. Plant Beds: These areas are a free drop. Do not hit from or enter these areas. Water Hazards: All water hazards are played as lateral water hazards. Designated Drop Area Hole #7: Drop area on right side of water marked Men’s Club Drop Area. You may place ball in this area (Drop area to be used when ball hit into water) Protective Fences: Holes #1, #2, #4, #5, #7, #8, #15, #17, and #18 drop one club length from nearest point of relief no nearer to hole. No penalty. Environmentally Sensitive Areas: Holes #2, #5, #12, #15, and #17. These areas are (defined by red stakes with green caps) are Ground Under Repair from which play is prohibited. If a player’s ball lies in the area, or interferes with the player’s stance or the area of intended swing, the player must take relief. Drop one club length from nearest point no nearer hole. No Penalty. Note: All other over grown areas of the course are to be played as part of the course. If ball cannot be found it is to be considered a lost ball and must be replayed from the original point. 150 Yard Markers: The stump markers are immovable obstructions. Player may take relief if stump interferes with stance, swing, or line of site is obstructed. Player may drop one club length from nearest point of relief no nearer the hole. Ground Under Repair: The dirt pile left of the 12th tee and 18th fairway next to the maintenance area is to be considered Ground Under Repair. Note: All maintenance ropes on the course are there to keep carts away. If these ropes interfere with the player’s stance or swing, the player may take relief and drop one club length from the nearest point no closer to the hole. Winter Rules will be played for Men’s Club Play when “Carts on Paths Only” is posted by the golf course. All scores will be posted as required by the USGA.
